BenchMark 85 Handicap (2000m)

Outraged was a winner two starts back over 2200m at the Gold Coast and back to 2000m here will suit after missing a place over 1600m at Eagle Farm last Saturday. Boom Boom Epic chased Outraged home at the Gold Coast and has each way claims again. Cormac is from the Chris Waller stable and could figure amongst the prizemoney and Ruling Dynasty can be included among the chances looking to reclaim some of his old form.

NMW Handicap (1600m)

Rossmay arrived back in Queensland following a third at Rosehill in a 1500m BenchMark 78 Handicap and has each way claims again. Boncosta and Ready For Danger head back to the city after running the quinella in the Murwillumbah Cup over 1530m and should find this assignment slightly easier and La Pulga is chasing a hat trick after wins at the Gold Coast and Ipswich

Race 3 - 12:58pm

F&M Class 6 Handicap (1350m)

Smug Satisfaction easily accounted for her opposition at Eagle Farm last Saturday and looks the one to beat again. Sky Lake is on the improve with a last start third at the Gold Coast and looks well placed here. Aeecee Tong De is stepping up in class following her win in 1400m Class 3 at Eagle Farm a fortnight ago and Clockwise rarely runs a bad race

C,G & E Class 3 Plate (1200m)

Fuji Flyer is racing in great form and has a great chance to claim a hat trick after two wins on her home track at the Gold Coast. Justify is also racing in fine form with a second and a win from his last two starts at Doomben and will get a nice run from gate two while his Tony Gollan trained stablemate MacEwen is the more fancied of the two in the betting at Ladbrokes.com.au. I Dream Of Green heads back to town following a last start all the way win at Ipswich.

Open Handicap (1050m)

Meet Mr Taylor has seven wins from nine starts with an unblemished three for three first up record and looks the goods here again at his first run since a Doomben win in June. The Kelly Schweida trained Meet Mr Taylor has an abundance of early speed and should take full advantage of the rails draw. Sydneysider Single Bullet covered all his expenses with a handy win over 1000m at Eagle Farm a fortnight ago but has drawn the visitor’s draw this week. Brook Magic will appreciate the drop in class and Capital Connection is fitter for one run back from a spell

F&M Class 3 Plate (1200m)

Veranes got the job done last start at Eagle Farm at double figure odds and is worth following again at handy odds once more. Shalwa has been installed as the favourite at Ladbrokes.com.au and is primed for a solid first up performance after winning two recent Doomben barrier trials. Frangipani Moon has a win and a placing from her last two starts and Ardoyne Road is a last Gold Coast winner.

QTIS 3yo Handicap (1110m)

The Odyssey had some handy form during his two year old season with four wins from seven starts and can kick off his three year old season in good fashion on Saturday. Garibaldi showed glimpses of above average ability as a juvenile and has a second and win in two recent Doomben barrier trials in preparation for his return to the race track as a three year old. Gem Of Scotland is also resuming after winning four of six as a two year old and Magic Trick is chasing a hat trick after wins at Doomben and Ipswich.

Race 8 - 4:02pm

C,G & E Class 6 Handicap (1350m)

Auerbach wasn’t far off the mark last start when second at Eagle Farm a fortnight ago and gets his chance to go one better this weekend. Courtza King always tries hard and has just missed the placings at his last four starts and has each way claims at handy odds. Fratellino found winning form at the Gold Coast at his latest outing and Langhro heads back to town after a win at the Gold Coast.

Race 9 - 4:42pm

Open Handicap (1350m)

Manaya deserves another chance after missing a place last start and has barrier trialled since. The Michael Costa trained mare was an Eagle Farm winner the start before and will have a crossover noseband on for the first time. The Avenger made it two wins from his last three starts at Eagle Farm a fortnight ago and has claims again. Order Again is resuming after a short break and has won first up in the past and Grand Rosso can do better than his latest effort at Caulfield.
