Race 1 - 11:53am

F&M BenchMark 85 Handicap (1200m)

Smug Satisfaction blew her opposition away last start at Eagle Farm over the 1200m and looks the one to beat against the Fillies and Mares again. Jay Jay D’Ar has handy Southern form with a win at Mildura and third at Randwick and can figure in the mix again. Tycoon Street chased home Smug Satisfaction when runner up at Eagle Farm and Cabin Fever has won a Gold Coast barrier trial in preparation for her return to the racetrack.

Race 2 - 12:28pm

BenchMark 75 Handicap (2200m)

Trainer Chris Waller has a strong hand in the BenchMark 75 Handicap over 2200m and it would not surprise to see the stable claim the trifecta with Jake’s Hill, Makdanife and Cormac. All three have solid form with Makdanife and Jake’s Hill finishing first and third when they met in a BenchMark 75 Handicap over 2400m at Eagle Farm three weeks ago while Cormac wasn’t that far off the pace when fifth over 2000m at Doomben a fortnight ago. Ocean Addict split the Waller pair at Eagle Farm and with the blinkers on could get amongst the prizemoney again. The top weight Boom Boom Epic also has consistent form with two runner’s up checks from his last two starts at the Gold Coast and Doomben.

Race 3 - 1:03pm

QTIS 3yo Handicap (1600m)

Profit is unbeaten from two race starts and had no trouble handling the step up to Saturday class with a win against the three year olds over 1400m at Eagle Farm on September 7 after winning his Maiden at the Sunshine Coast a week and a half earlier. The Dundeel gelding should have no trouble stepping up to the 1600m and looks the one to beat again while his stablemate Guntantes will challenge him again after being runner up at Eagle Farm. Don’t Waiver and Dawson Delight are also racing in fine form and ran the quinella over the same course and distance as this week’s contest on August 17.

Race 4 - 1:38pm

Class 3 Plate (1600m)

Tatcee is dropping back to a Class 3 after a Class 5 fourth at Ipswich and will be suited by the step up to 1600m. Great Danger has solid form with a win at Newcastle followed by a second at Canterbury and will get a nice run from barrier four. Certain Doubt has two wins and a second from his last three starts and Dreamtimer hasn’t been far off the pace.

Race 5 - 2:13pm

BenchMark 70 Handicap (1000m)

Jagged Edge can make amends for his last start fourth as favourite over this same course and distance and has the blinkers on for the first time. Pizonie was well beaten at Ipswich before an ease up but has won a recent 1000m Doomben barrier in the lead up to his return. Real Cute is coming to town on the back of a win over 900m at the Gold Coast and Buck Bay was a recent Gold Coast trial winner.

Race 6 - 2:48pm

0 - 75 Handicap (1835m)

Trevalyan has been installed as the early favourite at Ladbrokes.com.au after finishing second at his two most recent starts at Eagle Farm and gets his chance to break through for another win here. La Pulga just missed a place last start when fourth over 1600m at Doomben and will be suited stepping back up to the 1835m. Miss Shanti is very honest with five placings from her last six starts, her latest a second behind Picaro at Eagle Farm over a similar distance to Saturday’s trip.

Race 7 - 3:27pm

0MW Handicap (1400m)

Park Chinos ran a mighty race first up when second over 1200m at Eagle Farm a fortnight ago and gets his chance to go one better on Saturday. Mail Escort has been most consistent with four placings from his last four starts and rarely runs a bad race. Enterprise Prince has also collected a check from his last four starts with two wins and two placings and looks to be in the mix again and the front running Sharpamal will give his followers a great sight.

Race 8 - 4:07pm

Open Handicap (1835m)

Hard to fault Looks Like Elvis’ form with three wins and a second from his last four starts and he has enough versatility to slide forward from an awkward barrier to keep his winning momentum going. Alward is a last start winner over 1800m at the Gold Coast while Reckless Choice and Kubis are both last start Eagle Farm 1600m winners.

Race 9 - 4:47pm

C,G & E BenchMark 85 Handicap (1200m)

Snitz has had plenty of early support at Ladbrokes.com.au and expect improvement on his latest fifth in Open company over the Eagle Farm 1200m course. Unlikely Story was a winner two starts back at Doomben before a fourth as favourite at Eagle Farm but has a wide barrier to contend with. Cadogan showed improvement second up for a third over this course and distance and Snipstream has been around the money at his last three starts with a win, a second and a fourth.
