Grafton - Race 2 2:10pm AEST

No. 8 Sefire

Sefire made her racing debut with a third place finish at the Sunshine Coast and she showed a nice turn-of-foot in the process. This race does look much weaker and she should take plenty of upside from that performance. Stephanie Thornton is riding well and the Sebring filly is deserving of her status as a short-priced favourite.

Grafton - Race 4 3:25pm AEST

No. 2 Congregate

Congregate led from start to finish to claim a maiden race win at Tamworth last start and should take good improvement from that performance. He has the early speed to take up the running and it will take a decent horse to run him down. There is no reason that he can’t make it two wins on the trot.

Grafton - Race 5 4:05pm AEST

No. 1 Blazing Sunrise

Blazing Sunrise did plenty wrong when he finished third at Wyong last start, but there is no doubt that he does have some ability. This is a genuine drop in quality and he should take some improvement with more racing under his belt. This is his chance to claim a maiden race win.

Grafton - Race 7 5:15pm AEST

No. 1 Kingly

Kingly has been racing well in stronger company than this and I am willing to forgive his fairly flat first-up effort at the Gold Coast. I like the fact that trainer Michael Costa has given him a barrier trial in between race starts and on his best form he does have a class edge over the rest of this field.
