1MW Handicap (1800m)

Pleased is racing in great style with two wins from his last three starts at Ipswich and Doomben. The 1800m is no worry and he will get a nice run from barrier three. Boncosta has been ultra-consistent with two wins and a second from his last three starts and looks well placed here. Ready For Danger wasn’t far off the pace last start and Go Dixie comes to town with solid Gold Coast form.

QTIS 2yo Handicap (1000m)

Gotta Kiss scored an impressive win on debut over this course and distance and looks the one to beat again. Rothfire has won two barrier trials at Doomben and Deagon in preparation for his race day debut and betting will be a good guide. Malachini has the benefit of the inside gate and Mishani Machine has race day experience with a debut fourth behind Gotta Kiss.

Class 3 Plate (1000m)

Cailini was amongst the prizemoney last start with a third at the Sunshine Coast, has a drop in weight and has drawn the rails. Duke Of Frederick gets his chance in the city following a win in a 1000m Ballina BenchMark 66 Handicap and has Jim Byrne in the saddle. V J Day has had a trial in preparation for his return and Vienna Power is resuming after twelve months off the scene bu did run second in a recent Doomben trial.

1MW Handicap (1000m)

Removal had winning form before a break and has won first up in the past. He has drawn in close with Ryan Maloney in the saddle. Raiden has been knocking on the door with two seconds from his two runs this time in and is well placed here. Smartypy will find this easier than his assignments before a break and has won a recent Doomben barrier trial in readiness for his return and Takes Time is a last start winner over this course and distance.

Class 3 Plate (1600m)

Aeecee Tong De is racing in great form with a win and two placings from her last three starts and will get the run of the race from the rails draw. Joymaker has been far off the pace with a win and two seconds from her last three starts and will shape as one of the main chances here. Last Light is on the improve with a last start second at Ipswich and Miss Amber has solid Gold Coast form.

Open Handicap (1200m)

Tawfiq Boy was beaten less than a length last start when fourth over this course and distance and gets his chance to figure in the major end of the prizemoney. Cool Sequence showed a clean set of heels for an all the way win over 1110m at Doomben three weeks ago, up sharply in the weights but still a contender. Stella Ombra is fitter for one run back from a spell and Stella Victoria is a recent 1000m Doomben barrier trial winner.

Race 7 - 3:23pm

Open Handicap (1600m)

Auerbach has been placed at his three starts at Doomben and Eagle Farm and a nice drop in the weights could see him breakthrough for an overdue win. Another Dollar is fitter for one run back from a spell and will be better suited over this distance. Sabkhat is another looking for the 1600m after two thirds over 1350m and Zofonic Dancer showed plenty of improvement at his latest outing.

QTIS 3yo Handicap (1200m)

Better Reflection is the winner of three of her four race starts and resumed from a break for a first up win in a 1200m 3yo Handicap at Doomben three weeks ago and looks the one to beat again. Patches scored back to back wins at the Gold Coast and Toowoomba before a last start fifth in a 1200m 3yo Handicap at Doomben and expect a better showing with the blinkers going on. Zac Attack heads back to Eagle Farm with a Grafton Class 1 win on his record and Atlantic King is stepping up in class after a Doomben Maiden win.

BenchMark 70 Handicap (1200m)

Trail Of Glory is chasing a hat trick after wins at Ipswich and Doomben and has apprentice Baylee Nothdurft’s 1.5kg claim to help compensate for the wide barrier. Dreamreacher was a beaten favourite at the Gold Coast last and gets his chance to make amends. Moonan Joyce has been placed at his last two runs and Flaming Boss keeps improving with two wins from two starts.

Race 10 - 5:22pm

BenchMark 80 Handicap (1400m)

Sparky Lad is fitter for one run from a spell and has won second up in the past. Time To Play is racing in top form with wins at her last two starts and is one of the major players again. Prince Of Tie has been given his chance in town after a Class 5 win at the Gold Coast and Strome had handy Sydney form before a break.
