Pakenham - Race 5 8:00pm AEDT
No. 7 Mistress Molly
Mistress Molly showed a fair amount of talent during her maiden racing campaign and that included an impressive win over this track and distance. She maps to get a lovely run in transit in the small field and she is well-placed to make a winning return to the races.
Pakenham - Race 6 8:30pm AEDT
No. 3 Chicago Cub
Chicago Cub has recorded three wins from seven race starts and he continues to be well-placed by trainer Michael Moroney. His win at Geelong last start was a classy one and he still has the scope to improve on that effort. I am confident that he is the best horse in this field and barrier three is ideal for him.
Pakenham - Race 7 9:00pm AEDT
No. 9 Ruban Bleu
Ruban Bleu ran all the fastest closing sectionals when he finished second behind Marcel From Madrid at Ballarat a couple of starts ago and he didn’t have a great deal of luck at Geelong on Geelong Cup Day. It has been a while between race wins, but he does look well-placed to return to winning form.
Pakenham - Race 8 9:30pm AEDT
No. 5 Mawaard
This is a drop in class for Mawaard after he finished a credible fourth behind Allageri at Seymour last start. His victory at Sale a few starts ago was very impressive and a repeat of that effort would make him very tough to beat in this field. Barrier ten could prove to be an advantage and he will be storming home late.
