Ballarat - Race 8 4:40pm AEDT

No. 1 Fifty Stars

It has been a long time between wins for Fifty Stars, but this is the weakest race that he has contested in some time. He was only narrowly denied a maiden Group 1 win by Fierce Impact in the Cantala Stakes and he was not disgraced when he finished fifth behind Magic Wand in the Mackinnon Stakes.

Kembla Grange - Race 8 5:40pm AEDT

No. 8 Cinquedea

Cinquedea is well and truly over the odds at his current price. He did not produce a poor performance last campaign and his barrier trial ahead of his return to the races at Rosehill Gardens was excellent. He will take benefit from this run, but he has won over this trip in the past and there is no reason he won’t be in the mix.

Doomben - Race 8 5:48pm AEDT

No. 4 Signore Fox

Signore Fox has been sent to Queensland for the Recognition Stakes and he does look like the horse to beat. He showed a lovely turn-of-foot to win the Snitzel Sprint in impressive fashion and his barrier trial win at Hawkesbury was outstanding. Team Snowden have an excellent record when they send horses to Queensland and they can claim another feature race win.

Ascot - Race 8 7:50pm AEDT

No. 6 The Velvet King

The Velvet King is the horse that is weighted to win the Railway Stakes and he probably will never have a better chance to claim a Group 1 victory. He showed a nice turn-of-foot to win the Northerly Stakes at Ascot and he wasn’t beaten far by Star Exhibit and Gatting in the Lee Steere Stakes. He drops six kilos in this contest and is well-placed to turn-the-tables.
