Beyond has race experience with a debut third over 1000m at Eagle Farm followed
by a second over 1000m at the Sunshine Coast and gets his chance to
breakthrough for a win here. Look for improvement from Mass Destruction after
the colt finished in the runner’s up stall on debut. Lady Lancaster comes to
town after a debut fourth at the Gold Coast and Thrasher will have taken some
benefit for her first up fifth at the Sunshine Coast.

QTIS 3yo Handicap (1350m)
Cellarmaid is chasing a hat trick after wins at Doomben and Eagle Farm and has been freshened up following her three lengths win over 1600m at Eagle Farm. Scout is also aiming for three wins on the trot and heads to town after back to back wins at the Gold Coast. Ziemba is fitter for one run back from a spell for a second at Doomben and Kim Alicia is having her first run back since finishing fifth at Doomben in early August.

Southern Swing was beaten by a handy galloper in Guntantes at his last two starts and gets his chance to go one better following his last start second over 1615m at Doomben. Don’t Waiver finished third in the same race and is facing similar opposition here. Mosshiki is stepping up to city Saturday class after breaking through for his maiden win at Toowoomba and Smart Meteor has similar form.

BenchMark 75 Handicap (2200m)
Warning is racing in outstanding form with three wins from his last four starts
and will handle the 2200m after scoring over that distance at the Sunshine
Coast and at Eagle Farm at his last two wins. Dixie Preacher and Red Stina finished
first and second over 2020m at Doomben last start and are set to clash again
and Option and Checkmate Lad weren’t far behind in third and fourth spots.

Toy was the winner of two of his three race starts before a spell and looks
well placed here to add another win to his record. Phobetor had some handy form
before a break and has won two barrier trials in preparation for his return but
has to overcome a wide barrier. She’s
Furline is resuming with the blinkers on and has drawn the rails and Stylish
Saga is looking to keep his winning record intact after scoring at his two race
starts to date.

1MW Handicap (1350m)
Important scored a solid win over this course and distance last start and looks
to get a good cart across from a wide gate with plenty of speed drawn inside of
him and can figure in the finish again. Snitch is fitter for two runs back from
a spell and is facing a large drop in class and apprentice Nick Keal’s 3kg
claim will come in very handy. Park Chinois hasn’t been far off the mark of
late and Ruling Dynasty can run well fresh.

Tycoon Ace beat Tarzan at the Sunshine Coast and is certain to get another nice run after drawing the rails. Whypeeo is resuming from a short break and has won first up in the past. Spurcraft loves the short sprint courses and races well fresh and Spirit’s Choice is suited dropping back to 1050m after a close up fourth over 1200m at Doomben last start.

Brisbane Handicap (1600m)
Man was back in the winner’s stall over 1600m at the Sunshine Coast and will be
hard to beat again over the same distance in the Brisbane Handicap. Le Juge made
up good ground from the back when fourth to The Candy Man and meets him 2kg
better at the weights. Kubis has finished second at his last two starts at Eagle
Farm and Doomben and Spectroscope is fitter for recent racing

Race 9 - 5:25pm
& Mares Handicap (1350m)
Paris is fitter for one run back from a spell and has a handy second up record
of three wins and a second from five attempts and is at good each way odds.
Jadentom has strong recent form with a win at Grafton followed by a third at
Doomben and will get a nice run from an inside gate. Epic Girl will also strip
fitter with one run under her belt and has a two from two second up record and
Snow Valley is not the worst.
