Race 1 - 1:50pm AEDT (1400m)

Arkham Asylum has placed five times in his 14 career race starts and he has been racing consistently so far this prep. He was narrowly beaten twice at Dubbo over 1300m before simply going too quick out in front last start and finishing at the tail of the field. We can forgive that run and I think the Pieroo gelding can bounce back here in the first.

Race 2 - 2:25pm AEDT (1100m)

All Star Rocket has form around the likes of Akari and Asiago in the spring so it’s safe to say this is a huge drop down in class for this race. The All Too Hard filly really does look well placed and will be tough to beat.

Race 3 - 3:05pm AEDT (1300m)

This is a tough race to try and assess however I think the first starter Whimp is worth an each way play at massive odds. The apprentice Kath Bell-Pitomac will have to navigate a tricky barrier however she does get a claim. The five year old Helmet gelding has been somewhat supported in early betting which suggests he will run well.

Race 4 - 3:45pm AEDT (1300m)

They only got to I Stole Your Love very late last time out at Mudgee and the four year old mare by Unencumbered does represent nice value in this contest. She has the top weight but the apprentice will claim and she has drawn perfectly in barrier four.

Race 5 - 4:20pm AEDT (1100m)

Knock Toff returned to the races after 390 days with an impressive win at Gunnedah two weeks ago. The lightly raced six year old gelding has form around some nice horses in Brisbane and is a winner a Doomben over the 1110m. He will be extremely tough to beat here.

Race 6 - 4:55pm AEDT (1600m)

Quick Spin has been runner up in his last two and he is a horse that does not win out of turn. He has just the three wins to his name from 42 career race starts however he does look well placed in this contest. He was not beaten far in his back to back runs at Randwick in February and if he can replicate those runs, he will be tough to beat.

Race 7 - 5:30pm AEDT (1200m)

Harabel is a horse that gets well back in the field and the five year old mare will need plenty to go her way in this race to be a chance however I think she represents good value. She has drawn well and there looks to be some pace on up front.

Race 8 - 6:05pm AEDT (1200m)

Jailbreak does look very tough to beat in the last event of the day. He blitzed his rivals last time out at Coonamble to score by 4.8 lengths and if he replicates that he will be tough to beat.

Red Axe beat the favourite Jail Break only two starts back and the seven year old gelding meets him 1kg better at the weights. I don’t want to be losing on the race should he beat him again.
