The Group 1 $500,000 Australian Oaks is the highlight for the three year olds fillies on Day Two of 2020 The Championships at Randwick on Saturday.

Fourteen fillies will line up over the 2400m with the bookies finding it hard to separate the top three in the betting.

Any one of three fillies could start the favourite with the James Cummings trained Colette getting the early nod shortly after the field was released on Tuesday.

Colette was installed the $3 favourite just ahead of the Kiwi filly Probabeel at $4 and the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott trained Shout The Bar at $4.40.

We have analysed the entire field and our complete 2020 Australian Oaks tips can be found below!

Probabeel

The Jamie Richards trained Kiwi filly Probabeel didn’t lose any admirers with a gutsy second to Shout The Bar in the Group 1 Vinery Stud Stakes (2000m) at Rosehill on March 28 and is one of the main players again. Probabeel is stepping up to the 2400m for the first time but if you have been following her in her Australian Oaks lead up runs, stick with her.

Shout The Bar

Shout The Bar made a quick ascent up the ladder and made it three wins from only four starts with an all the way win in the Group 1 Vinery Stud Stakes over 2000m at Rosehill last Saturday week. Like most of the fillies in the Australian Oaks, the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott trained Shout The Bar will be tested over the 2400m for the first time but she will be in front for a long way and will be hard to run down.

Nudge

The Chris Waller trained Nudge put herself into Australian Oaks contention with a much-improved effort when third behind Shout The Bar and Probabeel in the Group 1 Vinery Stud Stakes (2000m) at Rosehill. Another solid performance could she her pick up some minor prizemoney again.

Colette

Colette found herself at the top of the Australian Oaks market order after a classy win over 2000m in the Group 3 Adrian Knox Stakes at Randwick last Saturday. The James Cummings trained filly has also risen up quickly through the ranks and the way she finished off the 2000m last weekend indicated that she can handle the extra distance this week. Big race jockey Glen Boss takes over from James McDonald.

Game Of Thorns

Game Of Thorns made up some ground from the middle of the pack but place chances appear best on last start fifth in the Group 1 Vinery Stud Stakes (2000m) a Rosehill.

Contrition

Victorian filly Contrition was well beaten when seventh in the Group 1 Vinery Stud Stakes and will find this a lot tougher.

Toffee Tongue

Toffee Tongue is still a Maiden but found a place in the Australian Oaks after running on from the back to finish second to Colette in the Group 3 Adrian Knox Stakes (2000m) at Randwick last Saturday and the Chris Waller trained filly could be the one to cause an upset.

Dorothy Of Oz

Dorothy Of Oz set the pace in the Group 3 Adrian Knox Stakes (2000m) at Randwick last Saturday before fading to finish tenth and a similar result looks likely here.

Quintessa

Quintessa is still eligible for a maiden but did try hard when third in the Group 3 Adrian Knox (2000m) at Randwick last Saturday but much harder here.

Aspect Ratio

Aspect Ratio was always well back in the field when tenth in the Group 1 Vinery Stud Stakes (2000m) at Rosehill on March 28 and looks tested again.

Strange Charm

The Anthony Cummings trained Strange Charm finished way down the track when eleventh in the Group 1 Vinery Stud Stakes (2000m) at Rosehill and looking for something easier.

Stick ’Em Up

Stick ’Em Up made up some ground from the back when fifth in the Group 3 Adrian Knox (2000m) at Randwick last Saturday and could sneak into a place at huge odds.

Satin Rain

Satin Rain never threatened when seventh in the Group 3 Adrian Knox (2000m) at Randwick last Saturday and hard to see her threatening here.

Cosmic Haze

Cosmic Haze passed a few in the straight when eighth in the Group 3 Adrian Knox Stakes (2000m) at Randwick last Saturday. Doesn’t get any easier here.
