Daily Sports Tips – Saturday 30th May

New Zealand Warriors v St George Dragons
3.00pm AEST

Warriors to Cover the Line (+3.5 Points)

The Dragons are favourites with many of their heavy-hitters returning to the lineup, but I wouldn’t discount a well-rested Warriors team from keeping this game close.

New Zealand has covered the line in each of its last three games against St George, while the underdog has won each of the last four contests.

Following a drama-filled two month break, the visitors shouldn’t be short on motivation.

Melbourne Storm v Canberra Raiders
7.35pm AEST

Warriors to Cover the Line (+3.5 Points)

This is a rematch of last year’s Qualifying Final – a game the Raiders will hold fond memories of after downing the Storm in narrow fashion at AAMI Park.

The Raiders looked the goods in the opening two rounds reeling off big wins over the Titans and Warriors, and while the Storm are a big step up in class, this game certainly isn’t beyond one of the top defensive teams in the competition.

Just like the Warriors, the trends favour the Raiders in this situation.

Canberra has covered the line each of their last eight matches as the away underdog, so it wouldn’t be surprising if this one turned into a bit of a scrappy, hard-fought affair.

Mainz v Hoffenheim
11.30pm AEST

Over 3.5 Goals @ $2.25

This is one of the more intriguing spots ahead of Matchday 29 with almost even money on offer in the head-to-head market.

Hoffenheim really need a win here if they wish to keep their top six dreams alive, while Mainz are also facing a must-win scenario sitting just one point clear of the relegation zone.

While there is terrific value on offer head-to-head, I do like this one to turn into a bit of a shootout.

The ‘Over 3.5 Goals’ market has saluted in each of Mainz’s last five games as the away underdog, so there’s every chance we’re treated to a bit of a thriller with more than just bragging rights on the line.
