Ballarat - Race 5 3:00pm AEST

No. 2 Raffine

Raffine is a lightly race mare who has managed two wins and four placings in just 11 career race starts.

She is a winner at this track and distance and in this grade of race and returned to the races with a narrow loss first up.

She has drawn perfectly in barrier three and is a huge threat in a race of this quality.

Ballarat - Race 6 3:30pm AEST

No. 1 Creative Lad

Creative Lad has placed in four of his five career race starts which included a dominant four length win at Traralgon.

The lightly raced four year old gelding was beaten just over a length first up and will only improve on that effort.

He is being asked to lump the big weight but will be in this a long way.

Ballarat - Race 7 4:00pm AEST

No. 4 Deserved

I have a high opinion of the three year old filly Deserved who tackles this benchmark 64 this afternoon.

She won a race similar to this just two back at this track before being freshened up and tackling open grade racing last time out.

She was well beaten that day but she will appreciate the step back down in grade for this assignment.

Ballarat - Race 8 4:30pm AEST

No. 10 Elderflower

Elderflower is a talented little filly who was excellent last start in three year old open grade behind Licifer’s Reward at Caulfield.

This is a big step back in quality for the daughter of Toronado and she will have a lovely run in transit from barrier three.
