Race 1 - 11:28am

BenchMark 72 Handicap (2112m)

Dashing Special was a winner three starts back over 2040m at a Midweek Doomben meeting and is coming off a last start sixth in a 2200m  BenchMark 78 Handicap at Doomben. Down in class but up in weight but can still get the job done.

Travistee was always about the same last start when fifth in a 2200m Doomben BenchMark 78 Handicap and has the blinkers back on this week to try to make a difference.

Brando is yet to win beyond 2000m but was a winner two starts back over 1800m at Eagle Farm and Joymaker is the best of the rest.

Race 2 - 12:03pm

QTIS 3yo Fillies Handicap (1200m)

Mishani Miss is yet to win over 1200m but had plenty of room to spare last start in winning over 1000m at Eagle Farm in 3yo company. Drops a couple of kilos in weight and will be hard to beat again.

Kisukano was beaten into third place as the short priced favourite last start over 1200m at Doomben and will be better for the run and has to be given another chance.

Sizzlepel is chasing a hat trick after wins at Ipswich and the Gold Coast before a break and will be prominent for a long way from the inside gate and Georgie’s Pride will wear the blinkers after winning her Maiden at the Sunshine Coast.

Race 3 - 12:38pm

C,G & E NMW Handicap (1400m)

Super Contender was very impressive in scoring a three and a quarter lengths win in a Gold Coast Class 1 last start and looks the one to beat again.

Absolut Artie is the winner of nine races in North Queensland and is looking for his fourth win on the trot after taking care of his opposition at his last three starts at Rockhampton and can’t be taken lightly.

Alderman can do better than his most recent eighth over 1200m at Eagle Farm and has won over 1400m and Love Struck ran home for third in a 1200m Doomben BenchMaerk 75 Handicap at his latest outing

Race 4 - 1:13pm

F&M NMW Handicap (1400m)

Woman Of Gold has a win and a third at her last two starts at Eagle Farm and will be stepping up to the 1400m for the first time after making up plenty of ground from the back when third in a 1200m NMW Handicap and has strong claims.

Tycoon Street heads back to the city following a win in a 1400m Gold Coast BenchMark 78 Handicap and apprentice Justin Huxtable’s 2kg claim will come in very handy.

She Za Boss is chasing a hat trick after wins over 1350m at Ipswich and Doomben and the 1400m doesn’t look to be a problem and All Shiraz hasn’t been far off the pace with two placings and two fourths from her last four starts.

Race 5 - 1:52pm

Class 6 Handicap (1800m)

In-form jockey Jim Byrne takes over the reins on Momentum To Win who will get a nice run from barrier four and look for a better showing than his last start sixth over the same course and distance.

Lord Gododdin has been racing consistently with three placings from his last four starts but has to overcome a wide gate this week.

The blinkers come off Mangione following his latest fifth in a 1600m Eagle Farm Class 6 and Mushaireb is stepping back up to 1800m after running second in the same race.

Race 6 - 2:32pm

QTIS 3yo C&G Handicap (1200m)

Return With Honour has raced against some handy youngsters during his two year old season and expect a forward showing in his first run back after finishing second in a recent 900m Rosehill barrier trial.

Mishani Fraudster is a last start Doomben winner over 1200m and is one of the main chances again.

Clairvue Star ran a handy race first up for a third in a 1000m Eagle Farm 3yo Handicap and Super Effort is stepping straight up to Saturday class after winning a 1200m Sunshine Coast Maiden.

2 Units Return With Honour

Race 7 - 3:12pm

Open Handicap (1200m)

Snitch strung together two wins at Eagle Farm and the Gold Coast before being sent for a break and even though he has poor first up record, looks better than these. Snitch has been given a solid grounding for his return with two recent Doomben barrier trial wins and will be hard to beat.

Fiery Heights was a dominant winner last start in a 1200m Doomben mid-week meeting and gets his chance on the Saturday circuit.

Star Reflection found the runner’s up stall behind Fiery Heights and Impasse was around the money at four runs over the Summer with a win and three placings and is sure to put in another honest effort first up.

Race 8 - 3:52pm

Open Handicap (1600m)

Right Or Wrong hasn’t been that far off the pace and gets his chance here coming off a last fourth in a 1400m Eagle Farm Open Handicap and he is ready to step up to the 1600m.

Skate To Paris produced a solid win over 1400m at Eagle Farm last start and has strong claims again.

The Lord Mayor is dropping back in distance after finished second in the 2350m Grafton Cup and Aqua Vite is coming off a last start win in a 1600m Doomben Open Handicap.

2 Units Right Or Wrong

Race 9 - 4:28pm

Class 6 Handicap (1000m)

Howwonderfullifeis was a beaten equal favourite last start over 1050m at Doomben but gets her chance to make amends here and has drawn a handy gate.

Defence Missile has been thereabouts at his most recent runs and can figure in the mix again.

Wirnpa was runner up over this course and distance last start and Dream Master had consistent form before a break and has been placed in two recent Gold Coast barrier trials in preparation for his return.
