We are in for a cracking day of racing at Caulfield on Saturday with the feature race being the Group 1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes.
Our full Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes Day tips can be found below.
Race 1 - 12:30pm
Longboard Accountants for Mirabel Handicap (1600m)
Cumberbatch did not have a lot of room at a vital stage at The Valley last start over the 1500m but he picked back up well and found the line.
The 1600m should not be a problem for the son of I Am Invincible and Damien Oliver has been booked to ride for the first time.

Race 2 - 1:05pm
Arrowfield for Living Legends Handicap (1200m)
Bendigo Guineas winner Riddle Me That resumed with a nice effort first up at Caulfield over 1100m finishing fifth.
He will appreciate the step up in distance for this second up assignment and he represents good value at his current quote.

Race 3 - 1:40pm
4CYTE for Living Legends Handicap (1000m)
I had Peggy Selene on top but she has been scratched.
The Cummings trained Valaquenta has managed two wins from four career starts and has found plenty of support in betting suggesting he will run well.

Race 4 - 2:15pm
The Henley Homes Handicap (1100m)
I’m really excited to see what Front Page can do this spring.
The now four year old gelding put together three dominant wins last prep culminating in a 2.8 lengths win down the Flemington straight in the Listed Creswick Stakes.
He was cruising out in front in that race over 1200m and he showed an incredible turn of foot when he was asked at the 300 meters.
This looks a lovely way to kick start his campaign.

Race 5 - 2:55pm
PFD Food Services for NJT Handicap (1400m)
Fabric showed her great turn of foot late in the race first up behind How Womantic at The Valley over 1200m.
The lightly raced five year old mare by Ocean Park will be better suited over the 1400m and represents good value at her current quote.
Fascino is another that will be better suited over some more ground but has performed well fresh in the past.
She will only improve on whatever she does first up but she is a better chance than the $15.00 suggests.

Race 6 - 3:35pm
Listed Jim Moloney Stakes Handicap (1400m)
I’ve picked out a couple of progressive young horses at big prices in the sixth event of the day.
Silhouette broke through for her maiden race win at Warwick Farm back in June over the 1200m in impressive fashion by 1.3 lengths.
Melba Storm picked them up in a few strides at Sale first up which was made all the more impressive by the fact that William Pike had to steer her across heels at a crucial stage.
He rode her out hand and heels to the line and she looks a filly that will be better over some ground.

Race 7 - 4:15pm
Group 3 MRC Foundation Handicap (2000m)
In a race with a lot of seasoned horses who have hit their ceiling, I’m keen to back one that we have not seen the best of yet.
Game Keeper has managed five wins from 12 career starts and has a fair amount of upside.
The son of Fastnet Rock has returned back to back third placings this time in and although his breeding does not suggests he will get beyond 1600m, he is one from one at the 2000m.
He’ll need some luck but he’s worth an each way bet at his current quote of $7.00.

Race 8 - 4:50pm
Group 1 Neds Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes (1400m)
Superstorm will take plenty of improvement from his fast finishing effort first up in The Heath behind Diamond Effort.
The Sebring gelding showed his class when second in both the Australian Guineas and All-Star Mile last prep and he will appreciate the step up to 1400m.
Madam Rouge has a horror barrier to overcome but she is a much better chance than her $16 price suggests.
She was storming home once she found clear running in the Cockram Stakes and can feature in the finish in what is a pretty weak edition of the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes.

Race 9 - 5:25pm
Group 3 Neds How Now Stakes (1400m)
Lyre has been a consistent performer in group company throughout her career and if she can win this Group 3 race, she will have black type success as a two and four year old.
She has finished worst than fourth only once in her 15 start career and she was excellent first up in The Heath chasing home Diamond Effort.
This is the right type of race for Humma Humma who took out the Group 3 Proud Miss Stakes at Morphettville in May.
I don’t want to be losing on the race if she is the winner.
