NRL Round 19 Betting Summary

Round 19 wasn’t a particularly memorable one for punters, but the Canberra Raiders did provide some solace on Sunday afternoon.

The Raiders received good interest in match betting all week, accounting for nearly 90% of the hold, and they simply proved too good for the brave Warriors.

We also took a bet of 115K on the Raiders to win which well and truly bolstered the result for punters.

The Bulldogs recorded their biggest win of the season over the Rabbitohs on Thursday night, and it also proved to be one of the bookies’ biggest wins of the season.

The Bunnies attracted big interest in match betting, at the line (14.5 points) and across the board, and simply never looked like winning.

A live bet of 80K on Souths at $1.28 only strengthened what was a huge beginning to Round 19 for the book.

Kalyn Ponga is a favourite in First Try Scorer betting week-in, week-out, and punters expected another bold showing from the talented Queenslander against the down-and-out Dragons.

He is a handful for any defence any time that he handles the ball, and it took just 3 minutes for Ponga to cross for the game’s first four-pointer.

This week goes to a punter who was confident that the Knights would bounce back into the winner’s stall at the expense of the Dragons.

Our punter in question selected the Knights to win, Over 34.5 points, Kalyn Ponga First Try Scorer and Daniel Saifiti Anytime Try Scorer.

Offered odds of $108.57, our punter laid down $30 for a win of more than $3200!

With the top 8 a lock for 2020, all the future movement we’re seeing is in Premiership betting.

The Roosters made another positive move after their win over the Sharks, going $3.25 into $2.90 while on the other side of that result, Cronulla were big drifters.

Roosters – $3.25 > $2.90
Knights – $81 > $61
Sharks – $81 < $201
