Rosehill Gardens Preview – Friday 20th November

Rosehill Gardens will host a twilight meeting on Friday and seven races will be contested.

The rail will be set out six metres around the entire course and at publish, the track is rated in the good range.

Race 1 - 3:10pm AEDT

– Sky Racing Active Plate (1800m)

Regulation has returned two competitive efforts since debuting and can break his maiden at Rosehill on Friday.

The three-year-old son of Contributer finished second behind The Elanora at Newcastle on debut before filling the minors of a similar contest at Kembla Grange last time out.

Fitter third-up and in this small field, he’ll take beating.

Bowermans Commercial Furniture Handicap (1400m)

Kiku will take improvement into this race and is primed to win.

The Zoustar filly stamped herself as one to watch during her debut prep, placing in each of her two starts, and she returned to the races earlier this month to finish second behind Rustic Steel at Randwick.

She’ll need some luck from barrier 10, but will be ridden by James McDonald and should get every chance.

Race 3 - 4:30pm AEDT

Impending @ Darley Handicap (1200m)

Colonel faces a rise in class into this race, but was an impressive winner last time out and looms as a live each-way chance again.

The Snitzel gelding hasn’t missed placing in three starts back from a spell, culminating in a dominant win in maiden company last time out, and he has been freshened for this contest.

I like that he has had a trial since his last competitive hit-out, and he’ll be piloted by Nash Rawiller on Friday.

Race 4 - 5:10pm AEDT

Benchmark 72 Handicap (1800m)

Sacred Suite doesn’t know how to run a bad race, and he strikes another winnable contest at Rosehill Gardens on Friday.

The Sacred Falls gelding hasn’t finished outside the placings in six starts this time, recording consecutive wins at Ipswich two and three starts back, before an eye-catching effort over a mile at Doomben last time out.

He brings a unique form line into this race, it looks a nice one for him, and he looks a touch of overs at around the $5 mark.

Race 5 - 5:50pm AEDT

Wsade Handicap (1500m)

He mixes his form, but Salsonic is still more than capable of a big performance on his day, and I am happy to roll the dice at the big price on Friday.

The Group 2 winner returned to the races with an impressive performance and win on the Kensington course at Randwick, but has finished down the order at his last two.

This is a drop in class for him, and Hugh Bowman tends to get the best out of him.

Race 6 - 6:25pm AEDT

Vinery Handicap (1500m)

This shapes as the most open race on Friday’s Rosehill card, and Seles has claims on winning at a nice price ($11 at publish).

The I Am Invincible mare stripped fitter for two competitive runs for second, both at Ipswich when resuming this time, and she was rewarded for her improving form with a lovely win in Class 4 company last time out.

She’s drawn ideally, gets some relief in the weights and at the price, we can have an each-way play.

Race 7 - 7:05pm AEDT

Iron Jack Handicap (1300m)

Rammstein will take winning form into the last race at Rosehill on Friday and can make it two in a row.

The Snitzel gelding flew home from the middle of the field to salute at Kembla Grange when resuming, and he will only improve for that effort.

He has a good second-up record, he’s drawn to receive a lovely run again, and he is another horse whose winning claims have been enhanced by the booking of James McDonald.
