Daily Racing Tips – Friday 9th April
Benalla - Race 3 2:30pm AEST
No. 8 Bobsled
This looks like an ideal race for Bobsled and he has an excellent chance to claim a maiden race win.
On exposed form he does have a genuine class edge over the rest of this field and this is probably the weakest race that he has ever contested.
With even luck in running, he will prove very tough to beat.
Benalla - Race 4 3:00pm AEST
No. 10 La Spezia
La Spezia has raced well without winning during her racing career to date and the filly finds herself in a very winnable contest this afternoon.
She has been slow out of the gates in her recent race starts, but she has been finding the line nicely and the step-up in trip suits.
Harry Coffey will be able to give her a lovely run in transit and she can finish over the top of her rivals late.
Benalla - Race 5 3:30pm AEST
No. 3 Mach One
Mach One doesn’t win out of turn, but trainer Gavin Bedggood does look to have found a nice race for him.
His last start effort at Ladbrokes Park Sandown was better than it looks on paper and this is a genuine drop in class.
He will settle in the second half of the field and should be able to outstay his rivals late.
Benalla - Race 7 4:30pm AEST
No. 1 Our August Rose
Our August Rose will need some luck in running from the wide barrier draw, but there is no doubt that she is the class horse in this field.
She has recorded two wins from her past three race starts and her last start at Kilmore could hardly have been more impressive.
