Daily Racing Tips – Monday 19th April

Coffs Harbour - Race 2 1:15pm AEST

No. 6 Rutto

Rutto is having just his fourth career start in the second race of the day and he brings winning form into the race.

He broke through for his maiden race win at Taree last start over 1000m and he handled the heavy track well which is a big tick considering he gets that again here.

Jockey Ben Looker can take the gelding to sit just behind the leader from the wide gate and he’ll be ready to pounce in the straight.

Coffs Harbour - Race 4 2:25pm AEST

No. 8 Luz Long

Luz Long is having his fourth career start and first for his new trainer Graham Payne.

The three year old gelding was placed in his first two starts at Yarra Valley before finishing down the track at Ballarat.

It has been five weeks between runs and among a few gear changes his new trainer has made is the blinkers for the first time.

He has drawn well in a small field and the early support in betting suggests he is ready to break his maiden duck.

Coffs Harbour - Race 5 3:05pm AEST

No. 3 Golden Fantasy

Golden Fantasy has been runner up in her last couple at Coffs Harbour and the filly looks well placed in the fifth event of the day over the same course and distance.

She was narrowly beaten last start but they beat home third place by over four lengths which is some sort of effort on the heavy track.

She’s short in the market but should get a nice time of it on the speed.

Coffs Harbour - Race 6 3:40pm AEST

No. 9 La Miska

La Miska gets very similar conditions in this event to when she broke through for her maiden win two starts back at her fourth start.

The daughter of Puissance De Lune was a winner at this track and distance that afternoon by two and a lengths on the heavy track so she ticks a few boxes there.

Stephen Traecey should be able to boot the filly up to sit in front of race favourite Superel and she’ll be tough to run down from there.
