The Group 3 Bletchingly Stakes is the feature race on the card at Caulfield this Saturday afternoon.
Viridine is looking to become the first horse to ever go back to back in the race.
There are nine races on the program in total and our full 2021 Bletchingly Stakes Day Preview can be viewed below.
Race 1 - 12:05pm
VOBIS Gold Stayers (2412m)
Reflect The Stars worked to the line really well when resuming at Caulfield over an unsuitable distance and while she was a little flat second up, she will take plenty of improvement out of the run.
The step up in distance suits the five year old mare and she has drawn perfectly in barrier four.

Race 2 - 12:40pm
Alan Yates Handicap (1400m)
Great Again has been a beauty for connections managing to win 10 of 28 career race starts.
He was disappointing last start at Sandown but he has been given six weeks in between runs to this race and the blinkers have been added for the first time to sharpen him up a bit.

Race 3 - 1:15pm
VOBIS Gold Ingot (1400m)
The Peter Moody trained Pounding returned from a spell with a fourth at Sale over 1100m but was beaten just 1.5 lengths.
We can expect a sharp improvement out of that race and the step up in distance is only of benefit to the young horse.
The blinkers go back on to sharpen him back up.

Race 4 - 1:50pm
Benchmark 90 Handicap (1100m)
This is a cracking little race!
Plenty of these mares come through the same form lines and Absolute Flirt represents the best value in the race in my opinion.
She has been placed in 12 of 17 career starts and has the added benefit of a run under the belt which may prove the difference against the other two right in the market.
1 Unit E/E Absolute Flirt
Race 5 - 2:25pm
Benchmark 78 Handicap (1400m)
Chassis is the horse to beat in the fifth race of the day here at Caulfield.
The talented four year old mare is a last start winner in benchmark 84 grade at Flemington and will not be required to carry any more weight in this event.
She looks the obvious choice.

Race 6 - 3:05pm
3YO Handicap (2412m)
Token Spirit comes into the sixth race of the afternoon at Caulfield on the back of back to back wins at Sandown and Flemington.
He has won these two races by a combined five lengths including a 3.5 length win in the Mahogany Challenge Final at Flemington.
The son of Wandjina is clearly a very talented young horse and it will take a very good one to beat him.

Race 7 - 3:45pm
3YO Handicap (1200m)
Stripped Back was a dominant winner when making his racing debut at Ararat back in January and he beat all bar one when resuming at Ballarat two weeks ago.
She took over at the 300m mark in that race only to be run over late and he will take plenty of benefit into this second up assignment.
1/2 Unit E/W Stripped Back
Race 8 - 4:20pm
Group 3 Bletchingly Stakes (1200m)
Viridine got way too far back in the Sir John Monash Stakes but the six year old gelding found the line nicely in the concluding stages of the race.
He is going every bit as well this prep as he was when he won the 2020 Bletchingly Stakes and he again looks well placed.
Streets Of Avalon ran second in this race behind Viridine last year but the tough front runner has gone to another level since then.
He won the Group 1 C.F Orr Stakes at this track during the autumn and he has trialed well leading into this first up assignment.

1 Unit E/W Streets Of Avalon
Race 9 - 4:52pm
3YO Fillies Handicap (1200m)
Sugartown had five weeks in between runs and was only narrowly defeated at Caulfield last start.
The daughter of Shamus Award has been unplaced just once in six career starts and she will be required to carry just 54kg with Jamie Kah on top.
