Tokyo Tips: Day 7 – Friday 30th July

Canoeing: Men’s Slalom Kayak
5.00pm AEST

Lucien Delfour to Win a Medal @ $2.35

Delfour heads into the kayaking event on the fourth line of betting for the gold medal and is a real chance at making the podium here in Tokyo.

He finished in 17th in this event in Rio but is rated as a fair chance to be in the mix in a field that (as we have seen), can change literally on a turn.

Football: Great Britain v Australia
7.00pm AEST

Over 2.5 Goals (90 Minutes) @ $1.87

We are down to the final eight in the women’s football tournament and the Matildas managed to qualify thanks to a scoreless draw with the USA on Tuesday.

As for the Brits they cruised through their group with wins over Chile and Japan before drawing with Canada in their final game.

We should see this game played at a slightly higher intensity that the Matildas last outing and I’ll back a few goals to be scored here.

Since they returned to action in April, six of the Matildas’ nine games have seen at least three goals scored.

Gymnastics: Women’s Trampoline
8.00pm AEST

Hikaru Mori to Win Gold @ $2.50

Hometown athletes always seem to get an extra boost at the Olympics and even in the sterile atmosphere at some of these venues, it still can hold true.

The 22 year old is the favourite in this market and offers up some good value for punters looking to bounce into the gymnastics market.

Football: Netherlands v USA
9.00pm AEST

USA to Win (90 Minutes) @ $2.35

This was the matchup the USA played for on Tuesday night, so they are putting all their eggs into this basket.

The good news is they have won their last four games over the Dutch side including a pair of 2-0 wins in the 2019 World Cup and a friendly last November.

It will not come easy but their price to win in 90 minutes looks a touch over the odds and they still have one of the best squads on paper.

While a Dutch upset would be a phenomenal story, I just can’t see it happening here.
