The Valley - Race 1 5:15pm AEST

No. 1 He's Xceptional

He’s Xceptional has been underrated by the market once again.

He scored an upset win first-up at The Valley in the McKenzie Stakes and he wasn’t disgraced behind Mr Mozart in the Exford Plate.

The drop back to 1200 metres is ideal for him and he will make his own luck right on the speed with Daniel Moor in the saddle.

The Valley - Race 3 6:15pm AEST

No. 1 Mr Mozart

Mr Mozart is great value to make it back-to-back black-type wins in the Stutt Stakes.

He toughed it out on the speed to beat Artorius in the Exford Plate and there is no horse of that quality in this field.

Fred Kersley will be able to settle him right on the speed, which is always an advantage at The Valley, and he will give his rivals something to catch.

The Valley - Race 6 7:45pm AEST

No. 1 Homesman

Homesman has an excellent record at The Valley and he can make a winning return to the races in the JRA Cup.

He won the Crystal Mile first-up on Ladbrokes Cox Plate Day last year and he claimed another Group 1 victory in the Autumn in the Australian Cup.

The veteran gelding is the class runner in this field and if he produces anything like his best form he will prove very tough to beat.

The Valley - Race 7 8:15pm AEST

No. 6 Swats That

Swats That is well and truly over the odds in a very open edition of the Moir Stakes.

She has gone close at Group 1 level in the past and first-up last preparation she finished an excellent third behind Nature Strip in the Black Caviar Lightning Stakes.

A repeat of that sort of effort would have her right in the mix at a very generous price.
