Mildura - Race 5 2:30pm AEST

No. 3 The Mitre

The Mitre has been up for a while, and although his last two starts have been below his best, he does look capable of improving back in grade.

He was beaten only four lengths by impressive Maher and Eustace import Herman Hesse at Warracknabeal two back, and has also missed the money only once in three starts over this distance.

Back to his preferred distance and plenty fit, he should be hard to beat.

Mildura - Race 6 3:00pm AEST

No. 4 The Enzo

The Enzo doesn’t win out of turn, but he has been racing well of late to suggest another is right around the corner.

The son of Stratum stuck on well for a place last time out over the mile and looks well-suited getting back to 1400m.

He’s won previously over this track and trip and should have a nice easy time of it up front.

Mildura - Race 7 3:30pm AEST

No. 3 King’s Ransom

King’s Ransom won on debut at Kilmore back in February before stepping up to Stakes level at Moonee Valley and Caulfield later in the autumn.

He was no match in both starts, but this does look a nice return race for him dropping back in class.

Logan McNeil’s claim has been put to good effect and the pair should be doing their best work late.

Mildura - Race 8 4:00pm AEST

No. 5 Donna Natalina

Donna Natalina looks well-placed to make a winning return to the races in her first start under trainer John Salanitri.

The Street Boss mare won her maiden over this trip at Mornington last December before wrapping up her prep with a narrow third at Caulfield on Australia Day.

She’ll likely try and make her own luck on the speed and will no doubt take some catching in her first run back.
