Rosehill - Race 2 1:00pm AEST

No. 3 Depicton

Depiction stormed home to claim his maiden first-up at Newcastle in his first start back as a gelding.

This is tougher for the son of Exceed and Excel, but the way he finished off two weeks ago suggests he can go on with it now.

Barrier 8 should give Nash Rawiller plenty of time to roll forward and give their rivals something to catch.

Rosehill - Race 4 2:10pm AEST

No. 4 Vittoriosa

Vittoriosa has hardly put a foot wrong in five starts, winning twice and placing on two other occasions.

The Vancouver mare recorded a gutsy all-the-way win at Hawkesbury two weeks ago over the same distance, and while this is tougher, she does look a very live chance given the right ride from Tim Clark.

The Waterhouse and Bott stable is in superb form right now and she’ll only be fitter for recent racing.

Rosehill - Race 5 2:45pm AEST

No. 4 Mightybeel

Mightybeel looks well-placed to add to his second-up record with Shibli coming out of the race.

The Savabeel gelding resumed to run fourth behind that same horse first-up at Gosford over the mile where he had to make up plenty of ground after blowing the start.

He should be better for that run, and although untested over 1900m, he’s the one to beat with James McDonald on board.

Rosehill - Race 7 3:55pm AEST

No. 6 Jerle

Jerle missed out on the money in his first run back at Newcastle, but he must be considered here in what is only his second run back from a lengthy spell.

The Godolphin four-year-old has won and placed on four other occasions over this distance and has drawn to get a lovely run in behind the speed.

The blue colours are flying right now, and this son of Exceed and Excel looks capable of adding to their success.
