Gosford - Race 2 12:55pm AEST

No. 1 Kobestar

Kobestar looks to have a class edge over some of his rivals after contesting much tougher races than this during the autumn.

He’s since returned to work to finish a clear second at Kembla Grange over shorter, and the form out of that race looks good with the winner Delexo going on to place at Randwick last Saturday.

Tommy Berry rode the son of Star Witness to his only win at Kembla Grange earlier in the year, and he should have plenty to work with again from barrier 4.

Gosford - Race 3 1:35pm AEST

No. 5 Star Sparks

Star Sparks looks a promising gelding in the making out of the Waterhouse and Bott yard.

He seemingly had plenty left to spare in his all-the-way maiden win at Nowra two weeks ago and should appreciate getting out to the mile now in just his third career start.

There doesn’t appear to be a ton of speed engaged here so Jean Van Overmeire should have an easy time of it up front.

Gosford - Race 6 3:25pm AEST

No. 1 Microna

This looks a very winnable race for Microna with Narrated accepting at Rosehill yesterday.

The Choistar gelding doesn’t win out of turn, but he put paid to his rivals three weeks ago at Hawkesbury to win by plenty over a touch shorter.

The in-form Regan Bayliss had him in prime position that day up on the speed and I expect her to take a similar sit here.

Gosford - Race 8 4:40pm AEST

No. 5 Passistas

Matthew Smith’s lightly-raced mare Passistas puts her unbeaten streak on the line when she steps out in just her fourth career start on Thursday.

The four-year-old made a winning return to the races at Nowra two weeks ago when she won by nearly a length in a Benchmark 66.

This is tougher, but she’s won over the distance previously and will only be fitter with a run under her belt.
