Newcastle - Race 1 12:25pm AEST

No. 3 Miss Maz

I’m happy to take on the short priced favourite in the opening race of the day at Newcastle over the short course.

Miss Maz was no match for them at Warwick Farm on debut back in April but the daughter of Snitzel has a fair amount of ability.

She will settle right on the speed in this event and will be tough to chase down late.

Newcastle - Race 4 2:45pm AEST

No. 4 Norwegian Bliss

Norwegian Bliss will start a very short favourite in the fourth race of the afternoon but she couldn’t have been much more impressive when scoring by over two lengths on debut at Port Macquarie.

This looks a very good progression for the lightly raced four year old mare and she should be winning again.

Newcastle - Race 6 3:55pm AEST

No. 8 Trinity Missile

Trinity Missile has just the one win from seven career starts but the three year old gelding has been competitive at this grade of racing in the past.

He ran into one better at Scone last start but will take plenty of improvement out of the run and the kim Waugh stable is low key flying at the minute.

Newcastle - Race 7 4:35pm AEST

No. 2 Tim's Principal

Eight year old gelding Tim’s Principal has been up for a long time this prep but the majority of his runs have been well spaced a part.

He ran into one better last time out but the run was full of merit and he has missed a place only twice in eight career runs at this track.
