Ballarat - Race 5 2:30pm AEDT

No. 5 Gloves Are Off

Gloves Are Off was unlucky not to win first-up at Mornington where she was held up at the top of the straight.

The Toronado mare still managed to clock the fastest final 200m of the race though and looks capable of going one better with a little more fitness on her side.

She’s placed on soft going previously and has found the money on both occasions over 1000m in the past.

Hawkesbury - Race 6 3:15pm AEDT

No. 5 Coppersonic

Coppersonic won her maiden well last time out over the track and distance and has been kept fresh for the run.

The lightly raced mare has found the money in her last two starts and this looks like the next logical step for her up in grade.

Barrier 1 leaves Jason Collett with options and the pair should be tough to beat with Showtime Lady coming out.

Hawkesbury - Race 7 3:50pm AEDT

No. 7 Garmish

Garmish let down beautifully first-up at Wyong over 1350m where he won his maiden by half-a-length.

Tim Clark chose to box-seat third that day from the low draw and will likely take a similar sit here from the rails run.

This is tougher for Snitzel colt, but it looks the next logical step for him in what is a very winnable race.

Hawkesbury - Race 8 4:30pm AEDT

No. 2 Dhakuri

Dhakuri was a winner over a similar distance at Newcastle two back where he gapped his rivals by nearly two lengths.

The Godolphin stayer was luckless last-start at Warwick Farm where he became unstuck after running into heels down the straight.

He’ll likely concede a big start again and shuffle back from the wide gate, but with two wins and a placing to his name over this trip, he’s the one to beat.
