Ladbrokes Park Preview – Wednesday 24th November

We’re back to Ladbrokes Park Sandown on Wednesday, November 24th, and eight races are on the program.

The rail will be set out five metres around the entire course and at publish, we’re faced with a track rated in the Good (4) range.

Race 1 - 1pm AEDT

IVE Print Plate (1200m)

Plenty of the entrants in Race 1 at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday will be on debut and at publish, many of them are prominent in betting.

I can’t find anything that I am particularly confident in, and I am happy to stay out.

Race 2 - 1:35pm AEDT

Ladbroke It! Handicap (1200m)

Last-start winner Guardian Spirit looks well placed to make it two in a row at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday.

Guardian Spirit showed glimpses of ability during his brief debut prep, but returned in the best way possible at Geelong a couple of weeks ago, recording a bullish maiden victory.

This is harder, but he harbours plenty of upside, and he will take plenty of beating again.

Race 3 - 2:10pm AEDT

Ladbrokes Punter Assist Handicap (1600m)

Designs will take plenty of improvement into her second campaign start at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday, and she is primed to strike.

The Vancouver mare raced competitively in decent company last time in and she kept all of her best work for late when second, beaten a nose at Kilmore when resuming this time.

There is more depth in this contest, but Designs is a talented galloper, and she will relish getting out to a mile.

Race 4 - 2:45pm AEDT

Ladbrokes Easy Form Handicap (1400m)

Derive can return to winning form in the fourth at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday.

The Redoute’s Choice mare stripped fitter with a competitive effort for fourth at Mornington when resuming, before charging home to record an impressive victory at Geelong on Geelong Cup Day.

She was a little out of her depth at Flemington on Oaks Day, but this is a drop in class from that contest, and she steps out today in peak order.

Race 5 - 3:20pm AEDT

Ladbrokes Bet Ticker Handicap (1300m)

Wolf Skill faces a rise in class at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday, but she could hardly have been more impressive on debut, and I am confident that she can keep alive her unbeaten career start.

The Wolf Cry filly settled in behind a moderate tempo at Geelong before mustering an impressive turn of foot to easy swallow up her rivals.

She’ll only improve for that effort, Craig Williams jumps into the saddle, and I am confident that she can win again.

Race 6 - 3:55pm AEDT

Ladbrokes Same Race Multi Handicap (1600m)

Witsabouthim hasn’t been seen at the races since June and he will be making his Australian debut at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday, but I am confident that he is the runner to beat.

Witsabouthim had just three starts during his debut prep in New Zealand, but he stamped himself as a galloper to follow in winning twice.

He clearly has plenty of ability and this isn’t the strongest race.

Race 7 - 4:30pm AEDT

Ladbrokes Card Handicap (1400m)

Tanker charged back into the winner’s stall at Bendigo a couple of weeks ago, and this looks a great opportunity for him to make it two in a row.

The Pride Of Dubai gelding enjoyed a competitive two-year-old season a couple of years ago, but he it is fair to say that he went off the boil at three.

He has returned several competitive efforts since resuming this time, however, and he was rewarded for his condition with a bullish win last time out.

He’s rock-hard fit, get some relief in the weights this week under Matthew Cartwright, and he can win again.

Race 8 - 5:05pm AEDT

Ladbrokes Fast Withdrawals Handicap (1200m)

Got The Style can continue her rise through the grades in the last at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday.

The Snitzel mare finished fifth, beaten more than three lengths on debut at Bendigo last month, but enjoyed plenty of improvement into an easy win at Ballarat most recently.

Fitter third-up, she gets into this race well under the conditions, and she can win again.
