Penrith - Race 1 6:12PM AEDT

No. 8 Drum Writers

A somewhat new acquisition to the Kevin Pizzuto barn, this gelding has had four starts since crossing the Tasman to join the Rossmore stable and has raced well on all four occasions.

Two starts ago, the son of Mach Three was a stylish winner in fast time at Newcastle, prior to enduring an uncomfortable trip at Menangle in an unsuitable race last start.

The form from that race has been franked, with Everybodylovedray coming out of it and winning on Tuesday.

Drawn in a less than ideal barrier, young star Will Rixon will need to be at his best to steer this gelding past the favourite runners, however at his current price, he is an indispensable betting proposition.

Penrith - Race 4 7:45PM AEDT

No. 2 Uncle Jay

This veteran of 144 starts has been racing in a strong vein of form, and can look to continue it here tonight in a suitable race.

At his last outing, this Mark Lefoe trained gelding savaged the line to finish four metres behind Delightful Dude, who proceeded to run well without luck in the final of the Carousel at his next start.

Although perhaps a runner who races better around the bigger tracks, this son of Art Major is a long-distance specialist, is drawn comfortably and has the services of leading junior Will Rixon.

Penrith - Race 8 9:45PM AEST

No. 1 Gee Ef Cee

Although a maiden, this Kerry Towers trained gelding looks to have a brilliant chance of breaking that status tonight.

The son of For A Reason was unlucky when beaten only 7.7m in a Group Three event at Newcastle last start, which followed a string of placings at Penrith behind the talented Rocknpenny.

With leading driver Rob Morris booked to drive this evening, the inside barrier will provide this two-year-old with every opportunity to establish a position on speed, and from there he will prove hard to beat.
