No. 2 Nudge
It’s been close to a year since Nudge last won a race, but she does look to have returned in good order if her first-up run in the Hawkesbury Crown was anything to go by.
The Fastnet Rock mare got going late to finish only a length sixth to Exotic Ruby, a performance she can only improve on on an equally wet track.
She’s the type of horse that loves to get back and run on, so the wide barrier should suit, while it also helps to know Nash Rawiller has found the money twice on her in the past.

No. 7 Dalasan
Dalasan has burned punters on plenty of occasions, but there’s no doubt he has a class edge over most of his rivals here in the R A Lee Stakes.
The talented stayer was last seen running fourth to Think It Over in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Randwick, and he now heads back to his home track where he’s found the money on all six occasions.
He’s always been a horse that races well fresh, and with a little luck from the wide gate, I think he’ll be very tough to beat.

No. 6 Stalking
We’re getting a nice price for Stalking in this year’s edition of The Roses.
The Godolphin filly won her maiden by nearly four lengths at Kembla Grange two back before heading to the Gold Coast where she finished a couple of lengths off two smart horses in the Bracelet.
She’s rock-hard fit for four runs back and another heavy track should be to her liking.

No. 8 The Astrologist
The Astrologist can claim his first Group 1 in The Goodwood.
The son of Zoustar held his own at this level three runs back in the Newmarket Handicap where he was only beaten by boil-over winner Roch ’N’ Horse in a mad dash to the finish.
The form out of that reads well with September Run going on to win the William Reid two weeks later, a race The Astrologist also ran exceptionally well in. He was only beaten late at Caulfield a few weeks ago and I think he’ll race well with here with some weight off from a better draw.
