Ballarat - Race 5 3:00pm AEDT
No. 1 Bill The Boxer
Bill The Boxer can make a winning return to the races in the fifth at Ballarat this afternoon.
The son of Foxwedge won well on debut at Dunkley during the spring and then went on with it at Morphettville off a freshen-up.
He was disappointing at Sandown back in January but is worth forgiving on that run after a few post-race issues. Drawn to lead, he should take some catching on the speed.
Ballarat - Race 6 3:30pm AEDT
No. 5 Autumn Rose
Autumn Rose looks tough to fault at this stage of her prep.
John McArdle’s filly won her maiden quite well three-back at Geelong and has been far from disgraced against tougher company recently.
She only weakened late at Mornington over further last time out and should appreciate getting back to her own sex here.
Ballarat - Race 7 4:00pm AEDT
No. 5 Bonamassa
This looks a nice setup for Bonamassa back to 1500m.
The son of Helmet stuck on well at Geelong two weeks ago where he had to overcome a wide run in transit.
He’s won previously on the synthetic and this does look a much easier race for him back in grade.
