Flemington - Race 4 1:45pm AEST

No. 3 Through Irish Eyes

Through Irish Eyes is deserving of his status as favourite in the Flemington Cup.

The Tavistock four-year-old probably deserved to win the Brisbane Cup at Eagle Farm last month where he was only beaten late after racing wide.

He tends to do his best work with a gap between runs, and he looks to have a class edge with Jamie Kah also retaining the ride.

Morphettville - Race 5 2:32pm AEST

No. 8 Vagrant

Vagrant is a promising filly out of the Freedman yard that looks more than capable of winning the Oaklands Plate.

The daughter of Pariah debuted at Swan Hill last month where she won quite well, followed with a runner-up performance to recent back-to-back winner Thron Bone at Flemington.

Her final times that day read well, and she should appreciate another rain-affected track.

No. 5 My Yankee Girl

My Yankee Girl steps out in search of her hat-trick after bolting in to win the Rivette Final over this track and trip last time out.

The ride from Jye McNeil was sensational that day, and on paper, this contest doesn’t appear much tougher.

The fact she’s won on heavy going before is a big tick and drawn much kinder, she’ll take beating.

Flemington - Race 9 4:47pm AEST

No. 7 Florescent Star

Florescent Star is an honest type that appears to have a class edge over her rivals.

The Zoustar mare made up good ground to finish runner-up in a Listed race over the track and distance two weeks ago, adding to her strong recent form.

She loves the sting out of the ground and almost always races well over this trip.
