No. 3 La Gioia

La Gioia looks to have a class edge over a few over her rivals here after getting up to Group 3 level at Morphettville last time in work.

She’s really found the line nicely in both runs back at Mornington so far, beaten 1.75 lengths a few weeks ago after racing wide for the majority.

By Pierro, she’s bred to handle the extra trip with likable third-up form to her name.

No. 5 Dreamwoman

Dreamwoman has been racing well for Team Corstens depsite being up a while.

The Cable Bay filly has simply found one better in her last two starts at Benalla and Wodonga, fighting bravely to the line to finish a clear second on both occasions.

She’s handled the rise in grade in her stride though, and with the rise in trip likely suiting, she should find this a winnable assignment with Liam Riordan in the saddle for the first time.

No. 4 Turn Up The Night

Turn Up The Night looks capable of running a good race at each-way odds.

The lightly-raced four-year-old is having his first start for the McKnight Team following an impressive trial win at Benalla a couple of weeks ago.

He was far from disgraced in trickier races at Kembla Grange earlier in the year and does have a win to his name first-up.

No. 5 Dismount

Dismount shouldn’t find this much tougher than the race he won on debut here last month.

His effort second-up at Kilmore a few weeks ago was just as eye-catching, running on late for second behind a smart five-year-old in Estrapaz.

Drawn to get a nice tidy run in behind the speed, he should be going close again as the price suggests.
