No. 3 Zoha Bale

Zoha Bale looks well placed to take out this heat of the Bold Trease.

The Mark Delbridge-trained dog has been excellent since stepping up to this distance, winning all three starts over this course and distance.

Last start out of box 7, he settled at the girth of the leader before taking the lead in the back straight and racing away for a strong win in 41.82 seconds.

With a best time of 41.40 seconds and excellent box speed, if he gets on the arm early he’ll take some stopping.

No. 1 Make No Promise

Make No Promise loves racing over this course and distance boasting a record of seven wins and three placings from 11 starts.

The son of Fernando Bale enters this heat of the Melbourne Cup in great form with back-to-back wins here in slick time.

He comes up with the prized inside box and is undefeated when wearing the red rug.

He should be able to lead and should prove hard to run down.

No. 3 Rocket Riot

Rocket Riot won three in a row in electric times before venturing south from New South Wales.

The son of Barcia Bale was very good in his first look at this course and distance, clocking a very smart 5.02 second first split before being picked off on the winning post in 29.31 seconds.

The Jason Thompson-trained chaser will be better for the experience.

With his super quick box speed he’ll get on the arm early and prove hard to beat.

No. 8 Postman Pat

Postman Pat looked in need of the run when resuming from a month break over this course and distance last start.

The Jason Thompson-trained dog still was only beaten a length and recorded a time of 29.63 seconds.

He’ll be better for the hit out and when ready to rock ‘n’ roll, he can really smash the clock boasting a best time of 29.06 seconds.

He has the early speed to cross and if at his best, he will take some serious catching.
