No. 4 Single ‘N’ Ready
Single ‘N’ Ready presents fitter second-up for trainer Lloyd Kennewell.
The More Than Ready filly went around at Flemington last month, beaten half a length by unbeaten gelding The Reluctant Star. That was her first start off a lengthy spell, so there is room for natural improvement.
We saw her handle the rise in trip quite well second-up at Swan Hill last year, and with Blake Shinn operating from a perfect gate, she should be given every chance.
Doomben - Race 5 3:58pm AEDT
No. 9 Sharman Pete
Sharman Pete is a progressive type worth keeping an eye on.
Lee Freedman’s three-year-old stamped himself as a horse worth watching a few weeks ago at Eagle Farm, charging the line down the outside from a long way back to finish runner-up.
He seemed to handle the soft conditions well in just his second start, and with similar conditions expected, he should give this a real shake.

No. 3 Another Wil
Another Wil strikes a winnable race in his first run back.
The Maher and Eustace four-year-old won his maiden by an impressive three-length margin last July at Moe, following that effort up with a huge run for third at The Valley.
This is his first look at a dry track, but based on what we saw from him as a three-year-old, there’s reason to think he could be something special.

No. 6 Tahlequah
Tahlequah checks a few of the boxes in an open race.
This five-year-old mare by Tarzino has put together two solid efforts this time in work, chasing hard to finish a length off at Geelong first-up, before diving home late for third at Cranbourne in a good go for the line.
The blinkers come off for the first time, the rise to 1800m looks ideal at this stage of her prep, and she won’t mind any rain about.
