No. 5  Madame Fiocca

Madame Fiocca was the beaten favourite when runner-up on debut over the same trip.

The filly by Microphone was given a cozy ride two out, one-back, hitting the line hard where she was unable to reel in the leader over her final few strides.

She still showed a good turn of foot down the outside though, and does look suited by any rain about after running second in soft conditions during a recent Rosehill trial.

No. 8 Magnucat

Magnucat is having just her second start after racing clear to win by over three lengths on debut at Muswellbrook earlier in the month.

Bjorn Baker’s filly sprinted clear to take the lead in the early stages, finding an extra kick at the top of the straight where she gave nothing else a chance.

That win came in similar conditions, and I don’t think she’ll have any trouble rolling forward again from the gate.

No. 9 Love Rules

Love Rules was racing well before she struck a heavy track at Taree two weeks ago over slightly shorter.

The daughter of Pierro won with real authority the start prior at Coonamble, speeding out to find the front where she eventually broke away to win by 2.5 lengths.

Reece Jones hops back on board now and has some experience in the saddle. If he can slot in just behind the early speed, the pair should be a big chance.

No. 14 Royal Radiance

Open race, but certainly one Royal Radiance can win at a handy price.

The mare by Hallowed Crown was enormous in her first start for trainer Stephen Jones, racing off heels around the 100m mark at Taree to win by nearly a length on return.

She’s only had the three starts, but does look suited to rain-affected going after cutting through the ground quite well last time out. In well with the claim, she can’t be treated lightly.
