No. 5 Pauji Power

I thought that Pauji Power was decent on debut and looks well placed to break his maiden today at Moruya.

Pauji Power didn’t show a lot at the trials prior to his first career start, but he hit the line in decent fashion at Canberra last month.

With improvement for that experience, he can begin his rise through the grades.

No. 8 Jewel Approach

Jewel Approach takes winning form into this contest, and I thought that it looked the next logical step for her.

The Dawn Approach mare has continued to improve with each of four starts since joining Danny Williams’ yard, culminating in a dominant win in maiden company last time.

She’s hard fit and can take the next step.

No. 8 Bandi's Boy

He has drawn a bit awkwardly out wide, but I think that Bandi’s Boy will still take beating in this Country Championships Qualifier.

Bandi’s Boy returned to action with an eye-catching performance and win in BM78 company at Randwick in January before filling the minors in a similar race at Rosehill last time.

If he can overcome the draw, a big drop in the weights today can see him right into the finish.

No. 5 Occhiata

Occhiata is chasing a hat-trick when she steps out in the last at Moruya today.

The Flying Artie mare was an easy winner in maiden company at Canberra two back, and franked that performance with a three-length triumph in BM58 company last time.

With further improvement, this looks the next logical step.
