Ballarat - Race 3 2:30pm

No. 3 Infringement

Infringement steps out today second up and primed to strike.

The Belardo gelding kicked off his career over in New Zealand, turning in some nice performances without recording an elusive win, and debited in Australia with a nice effort to finish second over 1300m at Stawell.

With natural improvement, he might not be offered a better opportunity to win than this.

Scone - Race 5 3:15pm

No. 4 Split Decision

Split Decision takes winning form into this race and looks well placed to make it two in a row.

Having struck in Class 1 company most notably last time in, the Winning Rupert filly attracted interest ahead of the BM64 sprint at Newcastle when resuming last month and didn’t disappoint.

I like that she has been kept up to the mark with a trial since, and something like this looks the next logical step for her.

Ballarat - Race 6 4pm

No. 3 Mambo Dancer

Mambo Dancer steps out today second-up and primed to strike.

The Rubick mare won in BM64 company on Kyneton Cup Day and was sent to the paddock, and she was decent through the line behind Niance at Sandown last month.

This is a drop in class and she’s open to plenty of improvement.

Ballarat - Race 7 4:30pm

No. 1 Vivideel

The consistent Vivideel hasn’t missed placing in three runs back from a break and will take beating this afternoon at Ballarat.

Vivideel recorded a dominant win in BM58 company second-up from a spell, and he only just missed in a stronger race at Sandown last time.

He’s hard fit today and I can’t find a reason why he won’t be in the finish.
