Ballarat - Race 1 1:30pm

No. 10 For Better

For Better turned in a nice performance on debut and can break her maiden today at Ballarat.

The Better Than Ready filly was sent off a popular pick in better here last month but was ultimately beaten by a very impressive Omaha Dawn.

With natural improvement, she can begin her rise through the grades.

Hawkesbury - Race 4 1:55pm

No. 5 Victory Roll

We’re racing on a heavy track at Hawkesbury today and one galloper that should relish the conditions is Victory Roll in Race 4.

Victory Roll clearly needed his first run back from a break to tune up, but he took big improvement into an eye-catching performance and victory at Wagga last time out.

This is obviously a harder race, but he’s open to further improvement and is drawn to receive a lovely run.

Hawkesbury - Race 5 2:35pm

No. 1 Monty Be Quick

Former European Monty Be Quick makes his Australian debut at Hawkesbury today and I am confident it can be a winning one.

Monty Be Quick didn’t manage to record an elusive victory in five starts abroad, but he was only just denied on two occasions, and his trials since arriving in Australia have been positive.

He can use this as a launchpad into something bigger and better.

Ballarat - Race 6 4pm

No. 10 Corner Off

Corner Off strikes another winnable race this afternoon at Ballarat.

The consistent daughter of Toronado has missed placing once in ten career starts, and returned from a break to finish third, beaten less than a length at Geelong last month.

With natural improvement, I can’t find a reason why she won’t be in the finish again.
