The Sidestep gelding finished third in each of his first two runs back from a lengthy break, and he was last seen finishing second, beaten just over a length at Bendigo.

In peak order today, he might not be offered a better opportunity than this.

Scone - Race 6 3:10pm

No. 11 Joiselle

Joiselle puts an unbeaten record on the line when she resumes at Scone this afternoon.

The Snitzel filly stamped herself as one to follow by winning on debut at Dubbo back in February, and she franked that effort with another fine victory in Class 1 company.

A recent trial performance adds further confidence, and this looks an ideal launchpad for her.

Geelong - Race 8 4pm

No. 5 Flamin' Romans

Flamin’ Romans is second up and primed to strike.

The Ciaron Maher-trained gelding turned in some fine performances last time in, breaking his maiden at this point of his preparation most notably, while he was fair here at his first run back last month.

With natural improvement, he can continue his journey through the grades.

Geelong - Race 9 4:40pm

No. 5 Walk Of Fame

Walk Of Fame can win the last at Geelong.

The Sacred Falls mare turned in some fine performances around some good horses last time in, and she returned to action to only just miss in BM64 company.

She will need some luck today from a wide draw, but this does look to be within her abilities.
