Randwick - Race 5 1:30pm
No. 2 Don Diego De Vega
Classy import Don Diego De Vega is second-up at Randwick today and primed to strike.
Having missed the placings only once in five European starts, the Lope De Vega gelding debuted in Australia to finish second, beaten less than a length by the exciting Bear On The Loose.
With natural improvement, he’ll take beating, and he is my best bet of the day.
Doomben - Race 4 1:38pm
No. 1 I See You Coming
I See You Coming strikes a very winnable race this afternoon.
The Tony Gollan-trained gelding rarely turns in a poor effort, and he returned to action with an eye-catching performance to only just miss at Ipswich last month.
Having drawn ideally into this, he can fight out the finish again.
Doomben - Race 6 2:52pm
No. 1 Nanagui
Nanagui was well beaten in her first start for the Gollan yard a fortnight ago, but she drops in class this afternoon and is open to plenty of improvement.
She’s unbeaten over 1200m, while the booking of Vlad Duric adds further confidence.
Caulfield - Race 9 4:48pm
No. 6 Chorlton Lane
Chorlton Lane turned in a rare lacklustre performance returning from a freshen up a fortnight ago, but he strips fitter and gets conditions to suit at Caulfield today.
1400m is undoubtedly his pet trip and he has options in running from Barrier 1.
