Eight races make up another quality Wednesday metropolitan program at Melbourne’s Sandown Racecourse on August 28th.
There has been plenty of racing on the Sandown track recently and the rail will be set out three metres this week as a result, while we’re set to race on a Soft (5).
I’ve run the rule over every galloper and race, and you can find my complete Sandown tips below.
Race 1 - 1pm
Maiden Plate (1300m)
Narbold resumes in a winnable race at Sandown this week.
The Churchill colt didn’t manage to break his maiden during a three-start debut preparation, but he also didn’t miss the placings and found form around some credible opposition.
He’s reportedly furnished into a strong horse and can begin his rise through the grades.

Hurricane Georgie will enjoy plenty of improvement from a credible debut performance and looks a winning chance at Sandown on Wednesday.
The Mick Price & Mick Kent Jnr-trained filly stepped out here on debut earlier this month, finishing fourth behind the likes of Daggers and Athanatos.
That form has been franked and this filly can fight out the finish this time.

This looks to be one of the more open races on the program and I am going to give Tumbling another chance at odds ($10 at publish).
Tumbling has mixed his form this time, but I thought he was good through the line when second in BM64 company two runs back.
His effort in BM64 here last time was also better than the result suggested, and he drops in the weights this week with the bonus of Jamie Kah booked to ride.

Federer won on debut and can keep alive that unbeaten record at Sandown on Wednesday.
Federer attracted support in betting ahead of the Ballarat maiden earlier this month and put the writing on the wall with a dominant three-and-a-half length triumph.
This is harder, but he’s open to plenty of improvement and getting out to the mile looks perfect for him.

Captain Electric has returned to action in consistent form this time and strikes another winnable race at Sandown on Wednesday.
The Savabeel gelding has won two of four starts back from a break, including a dominant performance over a mile and a half at Caulfield, while he only just missed behind Lincoln Rocks at The Valley last time out.
He’s hard fit, gets conditions to suit again, and I can’t find a reason why he won’t be in the finish.

Zloties is another one that steps out second-up and in winning form at Sandown on Wednesday.
Zloties was sent for a break after filling the minors on debut at Pakenham back in February and returned to action with an eye-catching performance and victory at Geelong.
There is no doubt that this is a harder race, but she’s open to big improvement and can continue her rise through the grades.

Big Me drops in class and is primed to strike at Sandown on Wednesday.
The former Hong Kong galloper debuted in Australia with a strong effort to finish third, beaten less than a length at Flemington last month and kept on coming into a photo finish at The Valley last time out.
Fitter third-up, I don’t think he’ll get a better opportunity to win than this.

Half Yours is undefeated in two runs back from a break and looks a great chance for the hat-trick this week.
Half Yours broke his maiden with easy when first-up at Geelong last month and franked that performance with a dominant six-length triumph at Cranbourne last time out.
Fitter third-up, this is the next logical target.
