Caulfield - Race 7 3:45pm AEDT
No. 1 Estriella
Estriella was reportedly flying ahead of her return in the Moir Stakes last month, and she was decent enough through the line to finish fourth behind Mornington Glory.
Improvement was expected in the Ladbrokes Manikato Stakes last time out, but she ultimately finished seventh behind some genuine stars.
Fitter third up and dropping in class, she’s primed to strike in this year’s Caulfield Sprint.
Randwick - Race 8 4:50pm AEDT
No. 1 Veight
Having ended his three-year-old prep with a memorable win in the Group 1 George Ryder at Rosehill Gardens, Veight probably didn’t meet expectations when he only beat one runner home in the Ladbrokes Manikato Stakes first up this campaign.
That being said, he’s reportedly come through the run extremely well, while the rise in trip and the booking of James McDonald are both big ticks for the Silver Eagle.
Caulfield - Race 9 5:15pm AEDT
No. 6 Warmonger
Warmonger ended his three-year-old season with arguably the performance of the year so far: a ten-length romp in the Queensland Derby, while there was a lot to like about the work her was going late in the Group 1 Makybe Diva first-up this time.
It is fair to say that his second-up run in the Turnbull Stakes was far from his best, but he is a horse that has typically found his best form with a couple of runs under his belt, and he gets out to pet conditions this afternoon in the $5 million Caulfield Cup.

No. 10 Fangirl
Reigning champion Fangirl is back to defend her crown in the King Charles III Stakes and looks up to the task.
She was doing her best work late in the Winx Stakes first up in August, while she justified her favouritism in the 7 Stakes last time out.
Fitter third-up, she can keep Pride Of Jenni in her sights and will be charging home late.
