Sale - Race 1 1:10pm AEDT

No. 13 Regal Tycoon

Regal Tycoon has improved for each start since debuting and is ready to win today at Sale.

The Written Tycoon filly finished third, beaten half a length at Mornington in September and has since finished the runner up in two subsequent starts.

With luck from the barrier today, she can begin her rise through the grades.

No. 5 Here Comes Johnnie

Here Comes Johnnie can keep alive is unbeaten record at Sale this afternoon.

The Clinton McDonald-trained gelding mustered an eye-catching turn of foot to swallow them up in maiden company here earlier this month.

This is harder, but he’s open to plenty of improvement and it does look the next logical target for him.

Sale - Race 7 4:30pm AEDT

No. 1 Jimmy The Bear

Jimmy The Bear is the one for me in this afternoon’s Ladbrokes Sale Cup.

Jimmy The Bear has continued to turn in quality performances in good races this time in and faces a big drop in class today from his last start in the Group 1 Toorak Handicap.

He’s hard fit and this is a far more appropriate race for him.

Sale - Race 9 5:35pm AEDT

No. 3 Ranveer

Ranveer is second up and primed to strike in the last on Ladbrokes Sale Cup Day.

Ranveer has been a good horse for the Matt Laurie yard for a few seasons now, and he returned to action with a nice effort to only just miss in Class 1 company at Mornington earlier this month.

With natural improvement, something like this is well within his abilities.
