Mornington - Race 3 2pm AEDT

No. 6 I Am Piki

I Am Piki turned in a nice performance on debut and can break her maiden today at Mornington.

The I Am Immortal filly produced an eye-catching turn of foot to finish only half a length behind De Luca in a 1000m Echuca maiden.

With improvement for that experience, she can begin her rise through the grades today.

No. 4 Tax Free Prophet

Tax Free Prophet is fit and ready to win today at Mornington.

The Nostradamus gelding hasn’t missed placing in three runs back and was last seen finishing only a head behind the winner on Moe Cup Day.

1000m is his pet trip and he might not be offered a better opportunity to win than this.

Mornington - Race 7 4:15pm

No. 6 Placentia Bay

Placentia Bay looks well placed to strike today at Mornington.

The Ciaron Maher-trained gelding won on debut at Cranbourne in September and has laid a decent account for himself in a couple of tougher races since.

He’s another that looks to be in peak order and something like this looks well within his abilities.

Mornington - Race 8 4:50pm AEDT

No. 1 Coin Toss

The Peninsula Cup is a nice feature race for Coin Toss.

Coin Toss finished down the order in the Listed Weekend Hussler Stakes at Caulfield when resuming last month but turned in an improved showing to fill the minors of last Sunday’s Ladbroke Sale Cup.

I love that he is on the quick back up and this is a weaker race.
