No. 7 Cavalry Man

Cavalry Man was an eye-catching winner at his first run back from a break and can make it two in a row on Kyneton Cup Day.

The So You Think gelding turned in some fine performances during his debut prep and mustered a sharp turn of foot to reel them in at Seymour first-up this time.

With natural improvement, something like this is the next logical target.

No. 3 Here The Crowd

Here The Crowd resumes in a winnable race on Kyneton Cup Day.

The Trapeze Artist mare only made three appearances during her debut preparation but didn’t miss the placings, breaking her maiden on the Heath course at Caulfield and ending her season third in BM64 company at Sandown.

This is an ideal campaign launchpad and she can use it as a stepping stone into something stronger.

No. 10 Illative

Illative is third-up and primed to strike on Kyneton Cup Day.

The I Am Invincible mare returned to action to finish second behind an impressive Chinqui at Geelong in September, while she was last seen hitting the line behind the likes of Capricorn Star at Pakenham.

Fitter third-up today, she has options from the rails draw and the booking of Luke Currie adds further confidence.

No. 4 Promises Kept

A quality field has been taken for this year’s Kyneton Cup including Promises Kept, who I have put on top.

Promises Kept dusted off the cobwebs with a couple of fair efforts in Listed company over 1400m at Flemington, while he relished getting out to 2040m last time out when second behind Future History in the JRA Cup.

There is no horse of that calibre engaged today and in peak condition, I think this bloke is going to take beating.
