Mornington - Race 4 3pm AEDT
No. 7 Asmita
Asmita is second up and primed to strike at Mornington this afternoon.
The Exceedance filly finished don the order at Bendigo on debut in July and was immediately put away, and while she returned with an improved effort to fill the minors at Yarra Valley last month.
With improvement for that hit-out, she can begin her rise through the grades.
Hawkesbury - Race 3 3:05pm AEDT
No. 1 Physicist
Physicist strikes a winnable race today at Hawkesbury.
The So You Think gelding finished off the pace at Warwick Farm in his first run back from a break but turned in an improved performance in provincial BM64 company last time out.
He might not be offered a better opportunity to win than this.
Mornington - Race 7 4:30pm AEDT
No. 8 Down Low
Down Low is another galloper that is second up at Mornington today with winning claims.
Down Low has turned in some fine performances in just six career starts – she’s Stakes placed and has raced well in strong company through.
She clearly needed her first run back behind the talented Romani Ite Domum to tune up, but I’m expecting plenty of improvement for it.
Hawkesbury - Race 7 5:30pm AEDT
No. 6 Straand Beauty
Straand Beauty takes winning form into the last at Hawkesbury today and looks well placed to make it two in a row.
The Exceed And Excel colt finished third, beaten just under two lengths at Rosehill when resuming before only just missing behind Manos at Warwick Farm.
Having broken his maiden easily at Wyong last time out, he’s hard fit, and something like this is the next logical target.
