Scissor Me Timbers has only won one of his eight career starts so far, but he’s placed a further four times and he returned to action with a decent performance for fourth in Class 1 company.
He’s open to plenty of improvement and something like this looks within his abilities.

Bestower looms as the one to beat in the last at Newcastle today.
The Kris Lees-trained mare dusted off the cobwebs with a fair effort in BM64 company last month and has since finished the runner up in races at Rosehill and here at Newcastle.
She’s in peak order today and might not be offered a better opportunity to win.
