No. 3 Cheergal

Cheergal is third up and ready to win today at Scone.

The So You Think mare returned to action to finish second, beaten a head at Muswellbrook last month, while she filled the minors behind California Waves at Newcastle last time out.

Fitter third-up and back to the country, she might not be offered a better opportunity than this.

No. 6 Altercation

Altercation is a fit horse and this looms as another very winnable race of him.

The American Pharoah mare won two of three starts last time in, while she has so far finished second in BM64 company at Randwick and in another race at the same grade on the Kensington course.

With further improvement today and back to Scone, I can’t find a reason why she won’t be in the finish.

No. 2 Southern Charm

Southern Charm resumes in a very winnable race today at Scone.

The Shalaa filly turned in some fine performances during her debut prep, winning over 1100m at Warwick Farm ad ending her campaign with a run in Group 3 company.

She’s spent nearly a year away from the rails, but she has had the benefit of a few trials ahead of her return, and this is easily the weakest task she’s been set.

No. 2 Remlaps Commander

Remlaps Commander is the one for me in the last at Scone today.

Remlaps Commander hasn’t been seen at the races since May, but he was excellent last time in, winning fresh and ending his campaign a victor in a Highway race at Randwick.

A couple of recent trial performances add further confidence today.
