Charlotte Hornets vs San Antonio Spurs
10:00am, Spectrum Center

This is one of the few times where you can have a play on the Hornets and feel okay about it. Given that this game is a non-conference matchup, it’s worth noting that Charlotte has gone 7-5 against the spread in this spot, compared to San Antonio, who owns a 7-7 record. Despite DeAaron Fox’s heroics in his Spurs debut on Thursday, this is also a rough travel spot with a game in Orlando ahead on Sunday.

Tip: Back the Hornets to Cover the Line (+11.5 Points)

Washington Wizards vs Cleveland Cavaliers
10:00am, Capital One Arena

If they weren’t before, the Wizards are now in full-blown rebuild mode after trading Kyle Kuzma on Thursday. We’ve seen teams struggle in their very next game after losing a key star right through the trade deadline, and there aren’t many tougher tests in the league right now than this hot Cavs team. Cleveland has won five of its last six and has beaten the Wizards by double digits in all three meetings this year. With Darius Garland coming off a game-winner at the buzzer on Thursday against Detroit, this one isn’t worth overthinking.

Tip: Back the Cavs to Cover the Line (-17.5 Points)

Detroit Pistons vs Philadelphia 76ers
10:30am, Little Caesars Arena

This should be a fun one between two potential future play-in teams in the East. The Pistons are looking to bounce back from a heartbreaking buzzer-beater loss to the Cavs on Thursday, while the Sixers also hope to respond to a seven-point loss to the Heat. Philly has a two-day rest advantage, not to mention the last time the Pistons won over the Sixers at home was way back in 2022. Detroit has gone 16-9 against the spread this year, so I’ll back them to cover. But with Joel Embiid averaging 30 points and 11 rebounds during his career against the Pistons, he’s worth including if you’re a props bettor now that he’s back healthy.

Tip: Back the Pistons to Cover the Line (+2.5 Points)
