We’ve got eight games happening in the Association on Saturday, including a crucial game in the West between the red-hot Nuggets and the struggling Suns.
See below for our tips and best bets in our Saturday NBA Tips.
Charlotte Hornets vs Cleveland Cavaliers
10:10am, Spectrum Center
We’ve got a mammoth line close to 20 points in favour of the Cavs, which makes perfect sense after they became the first team to clinch a playoff spot earlier in the week. With the win streak at 12, Cleveland should win this game with all their stars available, but it is worth noting the Hornets covered the +16 spread when these two sides met in January. In case you need more convincing, this is the first half of a back to back for Charlotte, a team that has covered in three of its last four games in this spot.
Tip: Back the Hornets to Cover the Line (+17 Points)
Toronto Raptors vs Utah Jazz
10:40am, Scotiabank Arena
The Raptors return home to Toronto full of confidence after wrapping up their recent road trip with back to back wins over the Magic. Utah has lost three in a row in comparison, but the Jazz have quietly been a solid bet in these non-conference games behind a 14-5 record against the spread. Throw in the fact the Jazz have won seven of their last 10 over the Raptors, and you there is suddenly enough reason to believe Utah can at least keep this close.
Tip: Back the Jazz to Cover the Line (+4.5 Points)
Denver Nuggets vs Phoenix Suns
1:10pm, Ball Arena
No real surprise to see the Nuggets laying –7 against the Suns at home. Phoenix has won only three of its last 10 games, and it’s not like there have been any notably absences due to injury, either. Phoenix does have a rest advantage after last playing on Wednesday, but it’s worth noting the Suns own a losing record against the spread in this spot. After winning 122-105 when these two last met, the Nuggets are an easy pick.
Tip: Back the Nuggets to Cover the Line (-7 Points)
