See below for our expert Thursday daily racing tips for June 5th, including Geelong best bets!

Geelong - Race 2 1pm

No. 2 Bjarne

Bjarne looks capable of breaking his maiden today at Geelong.

Bjarne has improved with each of three runs since debuting and was last seen filling the minors over 1200m at Pakenham, finishing less than half a length behind the winner.

With even luck on running today he can fight out the finish again, and we can have an each way play at the price ($9 at publish).

Geelong - Race 7 3:30pm

No. 2 Purveyor

Purveyor is second up and open to improve this afternoon at Geelong.

Purveyor was unlucky not to strike in three starts last time in, and he returned to action to finish on the placegetters’ heels at Cranbourne last month.

He strips fitter and can record another victory today.

Geelong - Race 8 4pm

No. 6 Makdane

Makdane gets another good chance to win today at Geelong.

Makdane is yet to strike in four runs back from a break, but he has continued to improve with each start and was only just denied at Sale last time out.

He steps out today a fit horse and might not be offered a better opportunity to win than this.

Geelong - Race 9 4:30pm

No. 10 Whiplash

Whiplash can continue his rise through the grades.

The Sweynesse gelding has only made two appearances at the races so far, and after finishing midfield at Cranbourne on debut, he was too good for a maiden field at Sale last time out.

This is harder, but he’s open to further improvement and can go on with it.
